Just Me & My Thoughts

A Motivational Journal For Teens to Unapologetically Express Their Truth

The purpose of “Just Me and My Thoughts: A Motivational Journal for Teens to Unapologetically Express Their Truth” is to give African American tweens and teenagers a space to express their deep-rooted thoughts in written form. Teens don’t always have the freedom to be vulnerable or express self-pride without judgment. While providing space for young people to address various topics, this prompt journal aims to increase their racial identity and self-confidence. This journal is perfect for young people who may not need a therapist but would benefit from a space to sit with their feelings and take daily inventory of their motivation levels. Furthermore, educators and therapists can use this journal as a resource when working with this age group.
